Also note that the University of Illinois' Willard Airport is five miles south of Champaign, just off US 45. Airlines link the community to major hubs across the U.S. where passengers can make connections to destinations worldwide.Amtrak provides daily rail passenger service to and from Chicago and points south through Memphis to New Orleans.

We have reserved a block of rooms for the NPRE celebration at the Hampton Inn which is located near the north campus, across from Beckman Institute, and .5 mile north of Engineering. The hotel is within walking distance of the Quad and Illini Union. Local attractions within 4 miles of the hotel include Krannert Center for the Performing Arts, and the Krannert Art Museum. Many good restaurants are within a short drive of the hotel. Amenities include complimentary deluxe breakfast bar, complimentary airport shuttle service (7am-11pm, excluding Saturdays), TV with cable, HBO and pay-per-view movies. All rooms include coffee makers, irons and ironing boards and hair dryers. Refrigerators, microwaves and rollaway beds are available for a fee. Cribs are complimentary. Connecting rooms available. Mention the group name, NPRE, when you register to receive the conference room rate of $99. Our rate is good through August 13, 2008 so please make your reservations soon.
Bus Transportation for Game Day
Bus transportation will be available through Champaign/Urbana Mass Transit District. The bus marked “28 Transport” will run every 30 minutes, 2 hours prior to game time. The stops occur in the parking area along Goodwin Avenue at Clark, Springfield, Illinois, and Gregory. Please see university map here
